Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCS) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Organic chemicals are widely used as ingredients in household products. Paints, varnishes, and wax all contain organic solvents, and Gold Crest requires our painting, floor covering and cleaning trades to use onky LOW VOC products. All Gold Crest homes have had non-metallic water supply systems installed since 2001 in an effort to provide a healthier supply of water to your family than that supplied through copper lines. Smoke detectors are mandatory, but we take it one step further and install carbon monoxide detectors to keep your family safe from the poisonous gas.
